Innovation

Projects

Innovación pesquera
Fishing innovation

We are part of a project that promotes sustainable paiche fishing, capacity building and value added.

Fishermen from OSPPA Arahuana Fish conduct a planned paiche fishery in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.

With the advice and support of the Asociación Civil Despensa Amazónica, in partnership with PetroTal, they produce hamburgers, nuggets, sausages and cuts with paiche meat.

The project benefits 80 fishermen and a total of 350 families. This project is supported by PetroTal, Despensa Amazónica, CITE Productivo Maynas, among others.

SATI
SATI

With our INTEGRATED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SYSTEM - SATI we promote the development of food projects and enterprises in the district of Puinahua.

Its purpose is to improve the productivity and income of families and generate jobs by improving and innovating production in agriculture, aquaculture and small animal husbandry.

We provide training that promotes innovation, associativity and inclusion to achieve commercial development and the application of good productive and environmentally friendly practices.

Electrificación solar
Solar electrification

We support the project to make Puinahua the first district in the Amazon to be electrified with renewable energy.

Brittany, capital of the Puinahua district, already has an electrical system (solar power plant) installed and we are working on a project to expand its capacity.

We have financed the files to build the solar power plants in 17 communities and they have been delivered to the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) for execution.

The project will involve an investment of S/1.6 million by PetroTal and S/66 million by MINEM.

Our environmental management

Committed to our environment

We have specific plans and programs for efficient management during the execution of our projects and with the necessary control measures to manage the environmental impacts generated by the activities associated with our projects in their different stages.

The baseline is constantly monitored with control actions that allow us to understand if changes are occurring that should require updating the control measures.

We are committed to applying national regulations and the best international industry standards to develop our activities in a safe manner, taking care of the environment and respecting the populations influenced by our operation.

Protección de la biodiversidad
Biodiversity protection

Biodiversity conservation is key to the management of our projects. Our goal is to obtain a positive net balance through zero net loss. The correct identification and evaluation of impacts on biodiversity and the functionality of ecosystems has allowed us to agree with the State on compensation plans with conservation and restoration measures that are integrated into our biodiversity monitoring programs in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, and programs for the protection and rescue of flora and fauna.

Protección del canal de Puinahua
Protection of the Puinahua canal

At PetroTal, we are concerned about the Puinahua canal, whose banks are home to several towns and communities. Our objective is to prevent crude oil leaks or spills. We work under strict protocols, managing effective spill prevention, action and control plans that minimize the probability of occurrence and impact. We are prepared to minimize the consequences of an eventual spill, as we have agreements with suppliers that guarantee expert assistance and the use of the best means and equipment to provide us with a quick and effective solution.

We manage waste management based on compliance with the Integrated Solid Waste Management Law and in turn, aligned with our Safety, Health, Environmental Management and Social Responsibility Policy.
