Our history

We operate the License Contract for Block 95, located in the district of Puinahua, province of Requena, Loreto region. We are the largest crude oil producer in Peru and the main generator of royalties for the Loreto region. We are listed on the Toronto, London and New York stock exchanges.

2017

PetroTal Corp. begins operations in Peru.

2018

Production from 1XD-ST2 well

- Commerciality statement (28.12.2018).
- License Agreement until Nov. 2041.

2019

Drilling of the 2XD exploratory well.

- Drilling of three development wells and one injector well.
- Commissioning of CFP1 (Ch. 16k bopd).

2020

Drilling of well 6H

- Oct: Production reactivation.
- Dec: Pilot crude oil sales to Brazil.

2021

Crude oil-fired power plant

- Drilling of four development wells and one disposal injector well.
- Commissioning of CFP2 (Cap. 24k bopd)

2022

Increased oil production in Peru

- Drilling of three development wells and one injector well.

2023

Drilling of three development wells

- Construction of platform L2 West.

- More than 22 million barrels produced
- Year with most wells drilled: six producers and one reinjector
