To date, our operation occupies only 11.48 hectares of the 345,000 hectare lot.
We have five attractive exploration prospects in Block 95, with a potential similar to that of the Brittany Field, the largest crude oil producing field in Peru today.

It is a lot that can be accessed by land and is estimated to hold unrisked prospective resources of 534 million barrels of oil over an area of 262,000 hectares.
We are the only company that drills horizontal and long reach wells in Peru. Through them, we recover the crude oil from the Vivian producing sand without causing damage to the surface. In this way we contribute to the protection of the environment and the biodiversity of the area.
We provide safe and healthy conditions in our operations.
We guarantee the protection of the life and health of our employees and contractors. Our focus is on risk and incident management through the active participation of all personnel, which allows us to generate a culture of safety and health, identifying hazards, assessing risks and defining preventive controls to reduce or eliminate risks.
Our Integrated Management System is made up of 12 elements that allow the integration of the different systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and Process Safety Management (OSHA 1910.119). These elements are classified in stages and in a process of flow and continuous improvement known as the Plan, Do, Check and Act (PHVA) cycle.
Our focus is on risk management, which is based on 3 pillars: A health and safety strategy has been implemented in terms of Major Risks (fatality risk and catastrophic risks), with which we have been able to identify Critical Controls which are being managed with collaborators and contractor personnel. Likewise, in order to reduce injuries we have preventive tools such as: Atento Program (Observations), Medop's Line of Command Performance Program (DLM) and the Right to Say NO.
At PetroTal we seek to create mutually beneficial relationships with our contractors, subcontractors and suppliers of goods, based on safe, fair and ethical practices. Therefore, we have a Contractor Management procedure which aims to ensure that all contractors and suppliers of goods perform their activities in accordance with the requirements of the company.
Safety is a pillar of PetroTal and when we plan, supervise and engineer, we check that the physical and environmental means, protocols and procedures comply with the standards to perform the work, we also verify that the personal protective equipment is the most appropriate for each type of task: safety in the field is not only written but lived.
